What are the best cardiovascular/aerobic exercises to achieve weight loss?

weight loss
Simone asked:

I’m not neglecting weight training, I just want to lose some weight before doing it. I’m looking for an effective, high intensity cardiovascular/aerobic exercise routine that will yield excellent results: cardiovascular strength and endurance AND weight loss. I want a routine that I can do AT LEAST 5 days each week. Thanks!

jump rope for 20 minutes acompanied with a high protein low carb diet 5-7 times per week…within 3 months you’ll loose 20lbs and lotts of inches….Make sure you drink lots of water and get plenty of sleep.

I know it wont sound like it will work, but i lost 20 lbs by dancing for an hour every morning. I mixed that with eating right and i felt great the whole time. Truse me, dance for about 20 minutes and you will notice how much of a workout it gives you. Good Luck :)

I dont know about the 5 days a week, but I would do this at least 3 days a week.
You can do it on any cardio machine, or outside. Interval training.

Start out a light jog for a minute, then sprint as fast as you can for 30 - 60 seconds, then slow back down to a fast walk for a minute or two, then sprint again. do that for 20 minutes.

on the “off” interval training days, try raising the treadmill to a full incline and do a fast walk for 20 minutes, or run stairs,….it will switch up your workout and give you full maximum results. the incline will also work your butt!

You should always take a day of rest though!

Any weight bearing exercises like walking/ jogging or if you go to the gym. Weight bearing exercises can also improve muscle strength and bone density too. Try and stick to a healthy diet as well. You don’t have to make your body ache every day or starve yourself to get results.
